The National Associaton of Cider Makers (NACM) represents the industry in the UK and acts as the voice for cider makers, both small and large. Cider is one of the UK’s oldest drinks and we work hard to ensure that our industry thrives and supports the local rural economies around which our cider makers are based.
The orchards that provide the particular apples for our products enhance the landcape and provide an environment for biodiversity and community participation. We are immensely proud of our heritage and strive to uphold the time-old traditions of this uniquely British industry.
The NACM is well aware of the challenges the cider industry will face in years to come. To help us plan for the future we have created a Vision for what the industry could look like in 2022. Here on Cider’s Future you will find examples of how cider makers of all sizes are working to ensure they can operate in a commercial, sustainable and responsible manner, delivering a healthy, growing industry. The sum of these actions has been brought together here to create a Model Cider Company.
